I don't think a classic UO server will hold the attention of many people. With WoW being the most popular game out right now, it shows that the masses like endless PvE, questing and crappy PvP.
You would get a population of hardcore PvPers that would play it but I don't think that would be enough revenue to justify the cost of a new server.
We can wish though...

The problem with a preuor/pub16 server is you need the "victim" element. Dont get me wrong it would be fun as hell fighting all those old guilds out there but you need an economy and you need pk victims.

I was looking at DAoC forums and it looks like Mythic put in some stuff that makes it easier to template, like farming AC for dragon scales to buy any epic or dragon items including weps and farming glass from TOA spawns to buy all TOA artis, MLS etc.

Finding a game that all the carebears want to play and yet still has good PvP so we can kill them for loot to later use to do the real PvP.

There hasn't been anything even close to that lately. As soon as the carebears realized they could play games where they didn't lose anything on death it became the norm and they will object to anything else but that. |

I've tried daoc a couple of months ago... it's just feel like shit now...
It's didn't age very well IMO...
Most mmo suck nowadays, it's a true fact, WoW is a "good" game because it's suck less than the others. I haven't logged in for 2 weeks, I'll probly wait after the summer to start playing again since I'm quite busy with work and then I'll be on vacation.
Warhammer Online was a decent game but it's turned up to be a zerg festival and ppl went back to WoW after 3 months...

I ask because I will soon be returning to the gaming community.
And I hope it isn't to WoW...
Global Agenda my friend, it's a third person shooter MMO... it's great if your like me, and just waiting for a good sandbox pvp game to come out. Also, check out Mortal Online.. it is TRULY the next UO... right down to being a ghost when your dead, full looting, PK's and Anti Pks... red towns, stealing... Yup, I didn;t buy it after beta cuz it was loaded with bugs, but I am about to hook up my account again and check it out. |
